Client Rep (Marine Package) required for a leading Offshore Wind Farm developer, based in Scotland

Responsibilities

  • Represent and act on behalf of the Project on the offshore installation vessel(s) during WTG Foundation load-out, transport and installation.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all installation activities on a daily basis throughout the execution phase.
  • Ensure that all relevant approved procedures and risk assessments are followed by the Contractor.
  • Ensure the Contractor pro-actively manages matters related to health, safety, environment and quality.
  • At all times act, behave and lead by example according to professional standards of conduct and values.
  • Attend daily meetings, toolbox talks and any other operations, safety and technical discussions to ensure Works are being carried out safely, according to project schedules and to the required levels of quality.
  • Review and understand risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) and QHSE documents ahead of and during the execution phases. Keep up to date with all changes to these documents.
  • Be present as a witness during all defined key stages of load-out, transportation and installation as required. Access all Contractor work areas in accordance with the appropriate rules and safe systems of work.
  • Represent company in all quality/ handover activities at the point of transfer of custody of the assets and Contractor's completion of work scopes.
  • Participate in regular safety walks with management, operational and HSE representatives from company, Contractor and third-party organisations.
  • Assist in the development of the Daily Progress Report (DPR).
  • Prepare and distribute the DPR every day ensuring signature by the relevant parties.
  • The authority to stop the load-out, transportation and installation activities immediately if safety and/or quality become compromised.
  • Can recommend and agree minor changes to the agreed Contractor method of works based on consultation and appropriate risk assessment together with the Contractor.
  • Represent the interests of company in assessing the extent of satisfactory completion of the Contractor's work scope according to their contract and signing relevant completion documentation on behalf of company.

Requirements

  • Experience within a similar industry and role.
  • Relevant technical qualifications/training and experience in offshore construction.
  • GWO - BST (with HUET).
  • Offshore Medical including Chester Step Test.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • CDM and Maritime regulations experience.
  • Offshore Lifting and LOLER experience.
