Commercial Manager
The purpose of this role is negotiating and managing contracts with 3rd party vendors and suppliers. It will be involved in the procurement process including defining requirements, options and make recommendations to business.
- Provide leadership in procurement and contract management, create and lead invitations of tenders, manage tender processes and conduct contract negotiations.
- Manage variations, claims, dispute resolutions for construction period (EPC) contracts during the warranty period
- Deliver commercial and contract management of all O&M contracts to maintain effective commercial control.
- Evaluation and monitoring of contract performance, regularly reporting and making
recommendations for remedial action. - Provide specialist support and commercial input to the teams, interfaces with the finance team on local tax regulation and custom duties requirements
- Manage and follows up of contractor payment schedules and process applications for payment requests
- Manage pricing and commercial implications associated with new contracts
- Lead the commercial aspects of all O&M related contracts
- Provide the management team with commercial expertise and strategic advice on purchasing and contracting
- Review and develop commercial processes
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in tendering, procurement and contracting
- Knowledge and experience of large-scale EPC contracts (FIDIC) and offshore wind specific contracts such as wind turbine related agreements.
- Good all-round understanding of financial, commercial, and business principles and risk mitigation practices.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Experience in managing supply chain relations and negotiation.
