Our client, a leading developer of long duration energy storage projects and products, is looking for a proactive communications professional to maintain and build its brand and reputation in the green hydrogen space.

The client is a leader in the development and operation of Long Duration Energy Storage (LDES) projects and products that accelerate the transition to net zero and enhance the security and flexibility of energy systems. Their initial market focus is Europe, with anticipated expansion into other major markets. LDES projects and products unlock the value of renewables by combining hydrogen production with long duration and flexible energy storage, thereby supporting Europe's net zero goals.

You'll work closely with the External Affairs and Group Communications teams to maximise brand awareness and the impact of the client's communications in the local area. This is a varied role and you'll be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with Group Communications to create communication tools tailored to the local situation (website content, banners, leaflets, presentations, etc).
  • Managing press cuttings, reporting and collation of activity reports, building relationships with contacts in local and national media, achieving outstanding coverage, positive mentions and reach.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders, expanding the stakeholder management plan, and managing our stakeholder CRM system.
  •  Managing internal procedures to ensure community engagement is well-managed.
  • Creating web content about the project and project activities and keeping information up to date.
  • Coordinating  attendance at relevant events and interaction with project stakeholders.
  • Assisting and collaborating with External Affairs to oversee engagement with the local community through media, working groups, webinars, presentations, universities etc.
  • Coordinating with Group Communications team to plan regular and compelling content for social media concerning the project, ensuring the project is well represented.
  • Be the primary contact for local and national media, managing the delivery of marketing and communications.
  • Support the Group Communications team to write the internal newsletter and emails as required.
