Consents Manager required for major Offshore Wind Farm developer based in England
Responsibilities
- Deliver and maintain the necessary consents for the project
- Contribute to delivery and maintenance of necessary land lease agreements
- Contribute to delivery and maintenance of necessary third party agreements, including any Planning Performance Agreements
- Manage contracts with Lead EIA and Planning Lawyers
- Liaison and co-ordination with project partners, key consultants and other supporting contractors, e.g. National Grid
- Liaison activities with government and other key stakeholders (e.g. regulators, Crown Estate, statutory consultees, relevant sea users) , including support for PR messaging
- Local stakeholder, political and media management working with internal press office and political affairs teams
- Liaison with JV partners as appropriate
- Ensure consent and land risks are identified and appropriately managed
- Manage the consenting budget and deliver work streams on schedule
- Contribute to delivery of an approved supply chain plan for the project
- Facilitate liaison and all required/agreed collaboration with adjacent development projects.
- Delivery of required pre-construction plans and discharge of consent conditions and requirements to enable FID
- Liaison with site construction team, ensuring compliance with necessary consent conditions, statutory reporting requirements and landowner agreements
Requirements
- Excellent people management skills including motivational and support skills
- Well organised and able to manage multiple work streams on a large project
- Proven competencies in project development including proven ability at project manager level
- Experience of UK Grid connection management
- Be highly motivated and have the ability to work to challenging project deadlines
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills at a range of levels internally and externally
- Likely to have at least 10 years relevant experience of consenting, ideally in the offshore wind discipline
- Detailed understanding of offshore and onshore planning issues and all stages of the DCO process including Examination
- Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders
