Contract Manager required for major Offshore Wind Farm developer based in Scotland


  • Manage the full tendering process in cooperation with Line Manager and Engineering Team for various contracts
  • Support Line Manager on various procurement processes
  • Manage the commercial part of tenders including conditions of contract
  • Engage with Engineering team members to ensure that tender and contract terms match scope and deliverable requirements
  • Detailed and robust negotiation of pricing with bidders
  • Support and ssist the Commercial Manager where required
  • Proactively manage all commercial aspects of contracts as assigned
  • Support Line Managers in the management of complex contracts
  • Proactively obtain cost savings from contracts by ensuring value engineering opportunities are fully investigated and developed
  • Create and maintain contractual obligation registers and monitor to ensure that contractual obligations are being achieved
  • Manage Contractor applications for payment, liaising with Contract & Package Managers to ensure payment obligations are being met
  • Engage with finance and legal stakeholders to ensure alignment with RRPL policies
  • Contribute to commercial risk assessment and actively contribute to risk mitigation
  • Manage contractor compliance with Tier 2 / 3 open book tendering processes to deliver best possible value to the project


  • Excellent interpersonal skills, well organised and self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Commercially focused with negotiation skills
  • Analytic & Problem-solving skills, the ability to analyse information and recognise the impact of decisions from a commercial perspective
  • Stakeholder management & communication skills
  • Experience of commercial management of large-scale renewable energy projects (preferably from a developer perspective)
  • Experience of commercial tender negotiations
  • Experience with negotiating various forms of legal agreements
  • Minimum of 3 -4 year's experience in a similar role
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification or equivalent work experience
