Job Summary:

This position, located in Singapore supports the team in market development, opportunity identification, customer relationships, policy, intelligence gathering and negotiating Sales and Purchase agreements with Green Energy Buyers. This team member will be given a geographic area of responsibility for Singapore and South East Asia and will be charged with concluding relevant agreements in line with guidance and portfolio stratergy.


  • Minimum of 10 years relevent experience required in the LNG, Ammonia, electricity, or gas industry in positions involving contract negotiation and customer relationships
  • Diverse knowledge of the global energy business, key market dynamics, shipping and energy customer universe and industry economics
  • Analytical and negotiation skills in all facets of major commercial transactions
  • Able to create and understand complex shipping and economic models
  • Excellent problem solving, leadership, influencing and communication skills
  • Track record of working effectively in a team environment and in stressful situations, able to excel in a cooperative and collaborative team environment
  • Business Development of new countries and opportunities
  • High level of cultural sensitivity and awareness particularly in Asian cultures
  • Managing internal and external Stakeholders
  • High level of mobility as frequent worldwide travel is required


  • Support teams in negotiating Green Energy off take agreements with customers in a timely and value adding manner
  • Understand the commercial and physical aspects of allocated markets, drivers of demand, supply options and existing and projected infrastructure requirements
  • Develop strong and trustful relationships with energy customers at appropriate levels
  • Anticipate market trends and collect market intelligence; recommend or contribute to the development of marketing, distribution, shipping and trading including contract negotiation strategies
  • Accurately assess potential risks, rewards and mitigations associated with potential negotiating positions
  • Effective coordination of marketing efforts with Shipping and Economic Analsys teams and other business functions to achieve alignment and project integration
  • Communicate the strategic positions taken by Marketing with clarity and logic
  • Prepare and support presentations for customers, internal management, and partners
  • Engage in special marketing projects as required
