We are formally engaged to hire an experienced professional to play the key role of Development Manager, Energy Storage in an leading energy platform company in the US.

The Development Manager, Energy Storage will be responsible for overseeing the life-cycle of the site development and permitting processes for stand-alone energy storage projects.

The candidate can be based anywhere in the US as it is a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage greenfield development of utility-scale renewable projects in the US markets
  • Overseeing, and managing the site development and permitting requirements of stand-alone energy storage projects
  • Visit project sites, meet with government agencies, forge relationships with community leaders and other stakeholders and attend land-use permit meetings
  • Lead site diligence with internal teams including energy storage, environmental studies, land management, property tax matters, engineering, GIS and more.
  • Providing real estate and permitting services, managing scope of work and review work product for consultants and contractors.
  • Manage project site development and permitting budgets and schedules
  • Provide reports and presentations to management including updates on project permitting status permitting regulations. Support the negotiation of power purchase and asset agreements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree in engineering, math, science, statistics, accounting, finance or similar field
  • 6+ years of utility-scale energy development - direct energy storage
  • Experience with land-use permitting processes and requirements
  • Solid track record in project management and project management practices
  • Demonstrable experience managing a number of large scale complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong decision-making skills in light of uncertainty
  • Ability to perform at a high level in an organization, working in interdepartmental teams to achieve objectives and manage multiple projects and development relationships simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Strong entrepreneurial, organizational, analytical and people skills
  • Solid communication skills; capability to establish technical discussions in different cultural environments
  • Native English
  • Ability to travel to the company's HQ in the US Southeastern region.
