Opportunity for a leader of people and projects to take on the critical role of Director of Operations for its renewable energy business.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Director of Operations USA will oversee all operational activities for their assigned region, ensuring consistency across all branches.

The position can be based in one of the company's Texas offices, working on a hybrid office/remote basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively assign strategic objectives for branch and department personnel
  • Seek opportunities to increase skills and knowledge and prepare team for career advancement
  • Forster a continuous improvement culture across all team members and branches
  • Drive safety accountability for all personnel
  • Review and approve budgets against the longer-term plan
  • Ensure revenue margin, net income, and sales backlog and pipeline are all aligned with long-term ambitions
  • Review and approve budgets against business objectives
  • Develop and realise new corporate initiatives
  • Perform branch and department audits as required
  • Perform regular financial reviews
  • Measure workforce effectiveness, create objectives, deliver performance reviews, and address realised performance gaps
  • Oversee sales and marketing activities
  • Identify and implement develop and training opportunities
  • Develop and cultivate new business relationships
  • Implement projects defined by strategy and regional objectives

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in related role
  • Experience in commercial and industrial service, construction, or engineering preferred
  • University degree is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professionals at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel throughout the US as well as to HQ in Canada as required for the role
  • Passion for continuous people, process, and system improvement, with experience to match
  • Strong team manager with the ability to develop direct reports at a Regional Manager level
  • Experience developing and implementing change management, while successfully maintaining high morale level throughout the team
  • Right to live and work in the United States without sponsorship
