Electrical/IT Manager
Location: Taichung City
- Lead in the delivery of detailed onshore substation and high-voltage cable maintenance schedules and plans (both predictive and reactive maintenance), including condition monitoring strategies, emergency response, etc.
- Develop appropriate works packages and procurement strategies as may be required to complete maintenance works, follow up the execution of the works and manage HSE compliance
- Handle and coordinate technical integrity issues and asset management strategy of electrical components across the wind farm to ensure optimal performance of the operational electrical assets
- Perform root cause analyses and manage the implementation of rectification work - sometimes via external suppliers
- Act as technical expert in the event of major breakdowns and warranty cases
- Controlling contractor scopes and coordinate interfaces to ensure optimal work scheduling, liaising with the operations team and planner
- Project management and supervision of subcontractors, liaising with the commercial manager
- Support in the development of unscheduled maintenance plans, major repair preparedness and providing input to component exchange planning
- Provide input to annual outage schedule, maintenance forecast and contingency planning
- Follow-up on changes of the grid code requirements and maintain relationships with the grid operator
- Providing input to the development and maintenance of yearly business plan and forecast OPEX budgets.
- Provide guidance on operation, maintenance, installation, fault finding and repairs on electrical systems associated with private generator connections (LV and HV).
- Support in the development of practical and scalable solutions for digitalization and use of Operational Technology (OT) in offshore wind, focusing on cost-efficient design and maximum operational impact. Support the integration of a broad set of data-sources and data generated at the edge from an OT perspective
- Lead the technical and operational aspects of SCADA, industrial networks and communications for the project
- Provide input on IT-security concepts. Plan and conduct IT-security audits, threat-risk workshops, and penetration tests. Ensure that the wind farm networks, industrial IT and control systems are in line with cybersecurity expectations
- Support in the establishment and implementation of the Operational Control Centre in Taichung City
- Support the development of electrical safe systems of work on operational sites
- As a subject matter expert train and develop junior employees, continuously coach soft skills
- Occasional site or offshore visits
- Lead and manage contractors independently
- Provide people management to 2-3 direct reports
