Energy Manager, Power Markets | Berlin

Our client is a successful renewable energy company active across the value chain, including development, finance and asset management. We are supporting them in the recruitment of an Energy Manager for the German Power Market. The ideal candidate has strong experience with the German power market, and knowledge of PPAs. This role is based in Berlin, and requires willingness to travel (approx 30%).

Main tasks:

• Coordination of the energy management activities in Germany
• Management of several business areas such as: market information, market participation, energy trading and project development
• Leading working groups with different departments and defining working methods
• Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor PPA deals and price levels for different products in different technologies
• Monitoring the German market: regulatory, development of energy mix, electricity price, generation and demand and new technological developments in Germany

Requirements:

• Completed diploma studies in technology / energy / economics / business
• Strong experience in the German energy market, experience in strategic consulting or strategy related position is an advantage
• Experience in managing multiple projects and working with various internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in communicating commercial, financial, regulatory, market and contractual details at all levels of the organisation
• Ability to lead teams to achieve objectives
• Continuous coordination with the EM team in Spain
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
• Fluent in German and English, Spanish is a plus
• Experience working with financial models and parameters is a plus
