We are exclusively supporting one of the UK's leading, most innovative renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure companies in its hire of an exceptional EPC Director. Responsible for managing the delivery activities across a utility-scale solar and storage portfolio, the EPC Director will lead a team the Project Management, Sub-contractor, Consultants and Service Delivery teams to safely and accurately execute several hundred MWs of renewable assets throughout the UK. The Role:
  • Lead responsible for the safe and timely delivery of a utility-scale solar and storage EPC project portfolio
  • Act as single point of contact and accountability for EPC project delivery activities of a hybrid portfolio
  • Maintain control of costs and schedules to ensure projects meet accurate budgetary and timely delivery
  • Ensure that all EPC project teams and stakeholders (e.g. project management teams, sub-contractors, consultants and service delivery teams) comply with project specific HSE requirements, local and international regulation/legislation, and company best practice
  • Collaborate with HSE Director to ensure proper monitoring and reporting of HSE related matters are fully embedded in all EPC activities
  • Liaise closely with a range of stakeholders to benefit portfolio delivery and ensure close alignment between the objectives of all involved
  • Develop and issue the Project Execution Plan, while also managing cost, schedule and performance metrics closely, overseeing implementation in line with project objectives and strategy
The Requirements:
  • Min. Bachelor's degree or equivalent level qualification, preferably in engineering or related discipline; Master's degree desirable
  • >10 years' relevant experience managing EPC related activities for major project and/or programme delivery
  • Cross-sector EPC experience on major projects and portfolios desirable
  • Demonstrable health and safety record and clear passion for ensuring high levels of HSE are adhered to at all times
  • Experience of delivery EPC activities for large-scale Solar and/or Storage projects in the UK, with full understanding of UK project legislation and regulations
  • Working knowledge of international framework desirable
  • Strong technical understanding and experience in the PV solar and/or energy storage industry, ideally in the UK and abroad
  • Hands-on experience managing all phases involved in delivering large-scale multi-disciplinary CAPEX projects within cost and budgetary objectives
  • Fluent written and spoken English language skills
  • Right to work in the UK
