Grid/Interconnection Connection Manager

Opportunity for a grid/interconnection professional to join a US-power and energy consultancy firm.

The Grid Connection Consultant will specialize across diverse renewable energy, energy storage, and grid modernization projects, partnering with leading clients from across the industry.

This position can be based remotely or from one of the company's US offices.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing ISO feasibility and system impact studies to clients
• Perform independent power studies to support clents' generator interconnection planning strategies
• Perform advanced grid system studies
• Prepare new generator interconnection applications, including the development of single line diagrams, verification of compliance with reactive power requirements, and PSS/E models to support applications
• Maintain and develop excellent client and stakeholder relationships

Requirements:

• Degree educated in Electrical Engineering
• 2+ years' power systems engineering experience
• Knowledge of power regions and ISOs/RTOs
• Experience in modeling renewable generation and inverter-based resources
• Experience in transmission planning software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in writing technical reports and proposals
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Project planning and leadership skills
