Seeking a Group Director of People Operations for one of the world's leading, fully integrated service providers to the energy industry specialising in the onshore and offshore wind industries.

The Group Director of People Operations is a key senior-level position reporting directly to the VP of Operations and HSEQ, interfacing regularly with the senior leadership team and reporting updates to the Board of Directors. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall company's human capital strategy and provide leadership to the whole global HR function. This role can be based in a flexible location in the UK and Europe.


  • Develop company-wide strategy for talent engagement and structuring in line with the organisation's 2030 growth objectives. This includes making sure the company is bringing on and retaining the skillsets necessary for future projects.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, and leadership development globally.
  • Act as a liaison with parent company to contribute to core HR Values in the group and to deliver group initiatives.
  • Establish a pathway for employee engagement and training to instill the defined company values.
  • Set the strategic goals for continuous improvement of diversity and inclusion.
  • Advise senior leadership team and business units on key organisational and management issues, as well as support senior level stakeholder management and business strategy.
  • Support acquisition integration and evaluation.
  • Analyse, propose and implement ideal organisational architecture according to changing requirements and to support speed, responsiveness, agility, learning capacity, and employee competence.
  • Identify the requirements to support company strategy into a more 'people' revenue focused business and implement / manage change programmes to support the achievement of the overall business objectives.
  • Create and maintain Group level HR procedures in the Management System, as well as define the required set of Group HR operating processes in the Management System.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
  • Develop strategies and plans on how to access, develop, and transfer resources between company divisions and from other industries.
  • Define a core set of principles for onboarding and offboarding personnel for local implementation.
  • Design new bonus system to drive overall company performance through a system that reflects the company and the individual business units' strategic goals and business plan delivery.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive umbrella compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
  • Design strategic Employer Brand (EB) campaigns that support the company's Employer Value Proposition (EVP) and support execution on a local, functional and global level.
  • Publish ongoing summary of talent.


  • Extensive experience in senior level HR position within a large organisation operating globally.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing organisation design and implementing overall HR strategy.
  • Capability in and experience of working closely with senior executive level stakeholders.
  • Ability to coach, advise, and monitor performance of operational HR managers.
  • Strong commercial and financial understanding exemplified by a comprehension of business drivers and how to create value.
  • Understanding how technology can be used to improve efficiency in the company.
  • Experience in overseeing and managing relationships with third-party contractors.
  • Experience of operating in offshore or onshore energy is highly desired.
  • Working experience or strong understanding of service and maintenance industry is highly desired.
  • Previous experience of reforming or creating a new employee bonus and benefits structure is highly desired.
  • Prior experience in working on a company reorganisation is desired.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required.
