Head of Renewable Energy

Our client are experts in large and complex claims, often generated by multinational projects and operational risks. They are looking to recruit a Head of Renewable Energy based in London.

The Head of Renewable Energy will have responsibility for the following activities:

• Conducting their own portfolio of claims assignments.
• Implementing and developing best practice.
• Preparing Departmental Budgets with Board Directors and Finance Director.
• Reviewing and assessing claims and clients' requirements and preparing project plans.
• Following up on speaking or sponsorship opportunities at global Renewable Energy seminars to increase market awareness of their renewables capabilities.
• Following up on leads from existing clients and developing client/stakeholder relationships.
• Identifying new clients / leads to develop and increase market share.
• Driving the generation of new assignments through marketing meetings with Insureds, Insurers, Brokers and Claims Management Agents.
• Creating and maintaining daily, weekly and monthly reports as required.
• Capturing and compiling market information and circulating amongst global teams.
• Addressing any issues on behalf of local Adjusting Teams.
• Ensuring that the Group office local Renewables Adjusters remain connected with the London market.

Requirements:

• Loss Adjusting and Surveying experience. Professional qualifications (CILA, ACII).
• A strong background or education in renewables claims and Technologies.
• Technical experience working on renewables claims or in the renewables industry.
• Familiarity with the London insurance and reinsurance markets.
• Experience of leading meetings and discussing claims with senior client/stakeholder personnel.
• Previous Team Management experience.
