Opportunity for a Control Engineer with a leading offshore wind farm developer. You will be responsible for monitoring & coordinating commissioning & operational activities for the overall project.


* Interface to the national grid operator RTE

* Review and comment on PTW and RAMS

* Act as the Electrical Safety Control Engineer (ESCE), responsible SAP for final decision on switching activities

* Monitoring and authorizing all remote HV & MV switching operations on behalf of the project

* Preparing cross-package switching protocols but not switching until TOC

* Communication of all outages and activities affecting the stakeholders

* Coordinating Emergency Response with the stakeholders

* Coordination with operators of other systems and interconnection points before carrying out switching

* Monitoring of SCADA systems (signal testing)

After Asset Taking Over

* Operations, control and maintenance of the wind park - HV systems (225kV), MV systems (33kV) and low voltage auxiliary systems on the substation (400V, 230V)

* Lead Senior Authorized Person (SAP) up to 225 kV after TOC

* Preparing method statements, switching protocols and switching orders

* Monitoring and authorizing all remote switching operations on behalf of the project

* Responsible for SCADA monitoring, the handling of alarms and the identification of necessary measures

* Operate the substations via SCADA

* General electrical systems troubleshooting

* Active control during SIT

* Coordinating with MC before and after switching operations

* Monitoring of SCADA systems (operations)

* Maintaining day log of operational activities

* Handover and takeover of operational responsibility from Control Centre at start and end of the shift (12h)

* BOP post-TOC full operational control to CE


* Monitor & coordinate commissioning & operational activities for the overall project

* Ensure that the commissioning activities comply with the contract and project requirements in terms of HSE, quality, planning and cost

* Ensure zero harm HSE policy through deep involvement in HSE on a daily basis, in particular regarding HV/MV/ LV electrical operational activities

* Ensure that the technical departments' best practices are implemented in commissioning activities

* Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively

* Report commissioning progress and participate in commissioning meetings

* Ensure quality of commissioning works and documentation

* Communication with grid operator and across packages

* Ensure windfarm production is optimized at all times to max power production

* Ensure control room is operational and well managed

* Lead toolbox talks
