Established Offshore Wind developer seeking an HVDC Package Manager to join their team as they develop further offshore wind projects in Europe. This role will be based in Hamburg.

ROLE

  • You manage the HVDC package and, as a sub-project manager or Work Package Manager, take over the control of all tasks for the planning and implementation of an HVDC grid connection, including for the corresponding technical planning, scheduling and cost calculation
  • For the sub-project team, you will take over the project-specific technical management of internal and external employees
  • You monitor compliance with the sub-project goals, in particular for adherence to budget, schedule, quality as well as work and information security
  • You report to the technical coordinator for the OFTO system as well as to the Engineering Workstream Lead
  • At the interfaces to other workstreams (purchasing, controlling, project services, approval, etc.) and to other work packages, they contribute to a cooperative way of working as well as to a technically, economically and schedule-optimised planning of the overall system for wind farm and grid connection system
  • You contribute to the standardisation of our workflows and bring them into various projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • You have a degree in engineering, preferably in the field of electrical or energy technology or a comparable qualification with several years of professional experience
  • You have at least 8 years of professional experience in the field of energy infrastructure projects, ideally also from HVDC projects or have at least a basic understanding of the various components and subsystems of HVDC systems. In addition, you have already worked for several years as a project manager in the planning and implementation of comparable projects
  • Ideally, you will be familiar with procedures for calculating and optimising investment costs (CAPEX) and risk budgets. An existing project management certification (e.B. IPMA or PMI) is an advantage
  • You have fluent German and English skills in spoken and written (from B2 level) and good knowledge of the common Office programs
  • You have a high level of commitment and flexibility for monthly business trips
