Key Responsibilities

  • Open, track and close incidents and IMACD (Installs, Moves, Adds, Changes, Deletes) request tickets, adhering to support and change management principles.
  • Perform daily system health checks, address issues, documenting results, including maintaining of systems performance and troubleshooting outages within specified Service Level Agreements.
  • Lead assigned infrastructure projects and provided subject matter expertise to diagnose and remedy system and infrastructure issues escalated by the business, project stakeholders and/or other members of the IT team.
  • Collaborate with the Managed Services team on any system issues and alerts.
  • Perform quality control checks on the infrastructure environment.
  • Act as a site level escalation point for IT.
  • Maintain an agile mindset with constant focus on supporting the delivery of solutions for the assigned region.
  • Assist with requirements gathering and defining project scope.
  • Assist with infrastructure designing and scoping solutions for new initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the global IT team on research & development (R&D) initiatives with a focus on improving IT Design and Build standards.
  • Provide feedback for the future of the technology practice (evaluating vendors, products, solutions, etc.).
  • Support due diligence process for new development opportunities.
  • Provide input, review and support development activities ensuring company's Policies, guidelines and standards are followed as part of project and asset buildout.
  • Lead local infrastructure procurement, hardware requirements, software/license requirements adhering to company's procurement process.
  • Escalate critical incidents to site and Global IT team as necessary while maintaining stakeholder communication.
  • Contribute/develop documentation of processes, systems, and configurations.
  • Support the configuration, installation and testing of current and/or new systems.
  • Utilize global IT systems and tools for monitoring and IT systems management.
  • Develop and ensure routine backups, images, endpoint protection on selected IT equipment are maintained based on company standards.
  • Assist in the creation, support and maintenance of operational documentation as relating to IT Infrastructure across assigned site(s)/project(s).
  • Ensure security policies and standards are followed.
  • Supports regional cybersecurity initiatives and incident response processes as required.
  • Promote, enforce, and provide input to IT policies, processes & standards.
  • Support the regional Operations group and engineering team to improve operational excellence.
  • Support regional development initiatives including the setup of new branch offices, power generation facilities and required IT infrastructure.
  • Provide support for all Plant operations Networks, HMI, historians, Analytical tools etc. as needed.
  • International and regional travel required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent would be an asset.
  • 5 years of experience as a network / systems administrator with a proven track record of excellent service.
  • Working knowledge of regional IT regulatory requirements and standards, for example:
    • Taiwan Cyber Security Management Act
    • Personal Data Protection Act
    • ISO 27001
    • IEC 62443
