Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reporting to the Package Manager, and the Installation Manager
- Responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary T&I engineering team and offshore client reps on a daily basis.
- Throughout the project lifetime, the Installation Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient completion of WTG Transportation and Installation (T&I), including tariff stage o Development of Conceptual Design for T&I
- Required to operate as the Package Manager's deputy; and extra responsibilities for health and safety management, budgeting, planning, procurement, and reporting may be outsourced.
- Assessment of T&I solution, including consents compliance check; analysis of bidder's programme of work; weather analysis; vessel assurance check; technical risk assessment.
- Coordination of the development and implementation of a package engineering plan, and the management of any internal and external services or resources needed to complete the engineering plan's tasks.
- Responsible for implementing and managing an effective communication protocol, information sharing and document review process between the different teams.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English spoken and written (full professional proficiency)
- Degree in engineering or similar industry is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore wind or subsea discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as installation engineer or equivalent
- Experience of EPCI contract procurement with >£50m value
- Experience of managing the execution of offshore work in marine environments
- Developed skills in: implementation of quality assurance and environmental processes, negotiation, interface management for diverse teams with multiple locations, CAD Software.
- Developed skills in engineering design, specification and tender document generation, contract (subcontract), negotiations (technical aspects), construction planning, and budgetary calculations.
