Main Responsibilities:

  • Interface with other commercial and technical project team members to ensure that the overall offshore wind development is successfully procured and delivered
  • Deliver commercial management and administration of relevant packages during the planning, development and construction phases
  • Provide commercial input and recommendations on procurement strategy for the relevant packages to identify, tender and select equipment suppliers, service providers, EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) and O&M (operations and maintenance) contractors for our projects
  • Prepare and draft contract and commercial documents and manage any relevant service providers, such as external legal counsel and insurance brokers
  • Manage and run the full procurement process for the relevant packages, including drafting and issuing tender documents, evaluating tenders submitted, managing and responding to tender queries and negotiating the contract terms and price
  • Provide commercial / contractual input on interface issues that may arise within and/or between work packages
  • Lead contract negotiations and support the Project and Package managers in the execution, management and administration of the EPCI and O&M contracts, plus any sub-packages, advisory and service contracts
  • Responsible for the contract administration and respond to contractual matters when they arise and provide relevant input that may be required from time to time on work health, safety and environment plans and implementation
  • Oversee and manage relevant commercial handover procedures for each packaging ensuring seamless integration between stages and mitigating commercial or legal interface issues between contractors will also be required
  • Handle troubleshooting and problem-solving commercial and legal issues as they arise and assist with input into the financial modelling of the offshore wind project where required

Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor or higher degree in law, contract management or related field and/or a chartered quantity surveyor
  • Minimum of ten years' prior experience with an energy developer, utility, EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) contractor or related field performing contract management roles for offshore wind projects
  • Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Fluent in English and while not essential, written and spoken Korean skills will also be desired
