OSS Structural Lead

OSS Structural Lead required for major Offshore Wind Farm developer based in Denmark

Responsibilities

• Establish a standard basis (e.g. DNV, ISO, EN) for the unit (current regulations are designed for bottom-fixed substations)
• Input to technical spec. for the substation
• Collaborate with other disciplines to find solutions around layout, safety and the design of the substation
• Follow up subcontractors of electrical equipment in two parallel TQP processes to be sure that the equipment is sufficient for use on a floating offshore substation (with particular focus on fatigue)
• Follow up design documentation from global analyses from Aibel
• Prepare the "familiarization package" to be sent and presented to yards to demonstrate the design
• Establish the design base case for the substation
• HAZID
• Provide input to O&M requirements
• Review of internal documents (e.g. specs, philosophies)
• Provide input to the ITT to be sent to the yard
• Prepare Scope of work for FEED
