Principal Consultant – Wildlife Technology & Ecology

Opportunity for an experienced ecological and environmental professional to take on the position of Principal Consultant with a global renewable energy consultancy and advisory services firm.

The Principal Consultant - Wildlife Technology & Ecology will be the lead responsible for providing ecology services and support to both internal and external stakeholders, on various subjects (bat biology and economy, environmental permitting, and compliance).

The position can be worked remotely from anywhere in the US, or from one of the company's US offices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead bat biology and related compliance and permitting activities
• Provide support to clients and colleagues with specialist advice related to ecology and bat biology
• Support commercial and marketing needs as required, including presenting to clients and at industry events
• Work with the team to continue advancement of related systems and technologies
• Identify new areas for potential improvement and innovation
• Work with hardware, software, and system integration experts to recognise new innovations and opportunities in this space

Requirements:

• Degree educated in an Ecological Science or related discipline
• Knowledge and experience covering federal and state regulatory processing around Acts including Endangered Species, Bald and Golden Eagle Protection and Migratory Bird Treaty etc.
• Excellent communicator with technical and non-technical clients and colleagues
• Passionate professional with the desire to make a positive impact every day
• Proven experience working in a comparable role, preferably for a renewable energy or environmental consultancy
• Experience with bat biology software and systems
• Ability to travel on occasion
