Offshore Wind

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leverage existing expertise with the international offshore wind supply chain developments with suppliers and products
  • Develop and execute effective procurement strategies across all disciplines, in particular delivery and operations of wind turbines, foundations and offshore substations
  • Provide guidance and direction to facilitate understanding of offshore wind supply chain markets, and nurture relationships with major vendors with a view to establishing long-term partnerships
  • Establish and maintain the company's global vendor register, and drive the pre-qualification and registration process for potential project partners
  • Support the commercial director in developing a comprehensive suite of applicable forms of agreement for deployment across the project packages
  • Work with the commercial director to improve existing procurement systems, procedures, templates and reporting mechanisms, in compliance with governance requirements and procure-to-pay best practices
  • Work with project managers and commercial leads to define each project's procurement strategy, leveraging against existing vendor relationships on other projects, where applicable
  • Liaise with technical team to review and challenge employer's requirements specifications to help identify value engineering or alternative supply chain opportunities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to category managers and contract managers on package tendering and procurement activities
  • Support the project commercial lead and category managers to define and execute major contract negotiation strategies
  • Identify and support the evaluation of residual risks of negotiated contract departures for incorporation into the project risk register and contingency calculations
  • Drive the ongoing analysis of project procurement data for better cost management and forecasting across the business


  • Educated to degree level in engineering, quantity surveying, business, supply-chain management, or equivalent procurement qualifications
  • Possessing a minimum 10 years of relevant project procurement experience, out of which 3 years should be in an equivalent strategic, management-level role
  • Possessing 5 or more years spent in an offshore wind procurement role
  • Experience with the offshore wind supply chain in Taiwan will be strongly favoured
  • Knowledgeable in anti-bribery and anti-corruption standards
