Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all engineering work for assigned projects, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery.

Collaborate with project leads to identify and allocate the required resources for engineering tasks.

Develop and maintain design processes and guidelines to streamline the engineering team's efforts.

Act as the technical interface and lead for cross-functional teams, including Development, Permitting, Interconnection, Estimating, Procurement, Resource Assessment, and Project Management.

Manage and coordinate external 3rd-party engineering consultants to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.

Ensure compliance with industry standards while fostering a culture of innovation within the engineering team.

Coordinate design optimization efforts and identify cost-saving and improvement opportunities.

Provide technical support to the contracting and procurement team during negotiations and document reviews.

Conduct engineering assurance activities and present project progress to stakeholders and decision-making teams.

Collaborate with EPCs, Utility, ISO, and off-takers to meet interconnection requirements and deliverables.

Work closely with the development team to ensure seamless alignment with permitting requirements.

Manage project engineering tasks during implementation and construction phases, maintaining close collaboration with the construction team.

Participate actively in project team meetings, offering valuable insights and promoting cross-discipline cooperation.

Encourage continuous improvement and innovation within the team and foster knowledge sharing across business units.

Attend conferences and seminars to stay up-to-date with technological advancements and build relationships with potential service providers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.

A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience within the energy industry, preferably with exposure to the US market.

Comprehensive knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and engineering principles.

Strong expertise in electrical substation design, construction, and operation.

Proven track record in managing technical staff and coordinating engineering projects successfully.
