We are looking to source an automotive sales Manager for battery systems, the successful candidate will be comfortable working within the company's European organization with specialized technical support from Germany-based and Asia based associates.



Primary responsibilities include:

  • Managing sales activities for Automotive Battery to local and international customers
  • Explain technical features of Automotive Battery customers
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and networking including "Key Man Profile" management
  • Collaborate with HQ and local sales to win new projects by utilizing, identifying and exploring market intelligence and customer needs
  • Report sales progress on a regular basis internally
  • Oversee the market dynamics for automotive battery and the correlated political environment in Europe. Develop of long term sales and marketing strategy - Develop an understanding of competing Automotive Battery technologies and use this knowledge within negotiations to outline the competitive advantages and value propositions
  • In perspective build a local sales and marketing team

Professional and personal competences

University degree in chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable qualification

  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in a technical sales role in the automotive industry. Knowledge of electrified powertrain and lithium ion battery preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation
  • Professional, highly motivated individual with a strong results-oriented work ethic
  • A strong team player who thrives in a role that requires significant personal contributions and depends on the successful collaboration between European and Asia based team members
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a minimum of supervision
  • Business fluent German and English languages
  • Comfortable working beyond normal office hours as required to meet customer expectations; an ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
