Senior Business Development Manager, Onshore Wind

Our client is a clean power company, listed on the Italian stock market and operating in the field of power generation from renewable sources. Their onshore business continues to grow in the UK, and we are looking for a Senior Development Manager for Onshore Wind, reporting to the Head of UK business and matrix company in Italy to strengthen their team.

THE ROLE

• Taking responsibility for the origination and acquisition of new sites, with a focus on onshore wind projects in the UK and Ireland
• Lead on land-related matters relating to projects throughout the development life-cycle with help from the internal, technical team
• Manage the acquisition process
• Provide commercial input to consultancy contracts and landowner agreements
• Support in establishing community engagement models at the earliest opportunity for each project proposition and engage with project stakeholders across community councils, local authorities, MP's, and interest groups locally and the communities
• Work collaboratively with members of the project team as well as the extended development team in the UK and in Italy

YOUR PROFILE

• Project management skills and significant experience within onshore wind project development in the UK or Ireland
• Knowledge of planning, and permitting for onshore renewable energy projects
• Proven people management skills - ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with diverse stakeholders including landowners, communities, and planning authorities
• Hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure, strong negation skills
• Team work ethic, also with remote teams
• Full driver's license
