Senior Engineer – Onshore Renewables

This is an exciting role working for a global leader in the renewable energy sector and one of the world's largest wind producers. This role will focus on a mix of both Solar and Onshore Wind projects in South Korea based out of their offices in Seoul.

Reports to APAC Head of Engineering & Construction.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for financial and technical success of a project (on schedule and within budget).
• Also responsible for ensuring the Project is administered and executed in accordance to the highest ethical and safety standards and compliant to company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate actively in the development of engineering designs in the different phases: pre-design, basic engineering design and executive project of the Wind and PV Plants at country level in coordination with local and corporate teams assuring the most optimized designs and the inclusion of all technical specifications in their most upgrade version to guarantee technical suitability and technical and economic efficiency.
• Create and implement best practices engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
• Collaborate with Business Development and M&A to perform Technical Due Diligence (in DG projects and in Utility Scale ones) to acquire projects in different levels of Development and to manage self-development opportunities performing CapEx estimations, risk analysis, technical reports.
• Responsible for engineering and design (using industry standard software) of grid connected solar photo-voltaic systems (including rooftop, carport and ground mounted arrays) in order to design the most optimal layout with the most appropriate technologies for the lowest LCOE.
  
  

Required Professional Experience:

• At least 10 years' experience in design and redaction of different kind of projects for wind farms, PV Plants, substations and high voltages lines.
• Experience in managing and supervising engineering projects and EPC.
• Experience in coordinating and planning in engineering teams and external engineering companies.
• Experience in providing technical support for energy-related projects with accountability for project performance and design
• Renewable Energy and/or Power utility experience is preferred
• Applicable practices and regulations.
• Substation Commissioning and tests
• Strong knowledge of photo-voltaic system design and optimizing system components for energy production.
• Working knowledge of energy modelling, PV specific modelling, standard electrical calculations, basic structural & mechanical calculation
• Strong knowledge of PV components and related manufacturers
• Good working knowledge of standard utility process for interconnection approval and design requirements.
