Offshore Wind

Opportunity for Senior HSE Advisor for a key offshore wind farm developer based in Taiwan. This will be a 20month contract starting in January 2021. As the Senior HSE Advisor you will be responsible for the offshore foundations installation for a major offshore wind farm.


  • Monitor and evaluate employee's and contractor employee's HSE performance
  • Motivate and coach others to improve HSE leadership and culture
  • Perform HSE inspections
  • Incident reporting and follow up with Contractors
  • Perform investigations following an HSE incident
  • RAMS review and alignment
  • Delivery of HSE awareness campaigns
  • Management of observation, near miss and incident data within the company's system
  • Actively promote a strong HSE culture with all contractors
  • Ensure compliance with Country specific legal requirements
  • Input towards project reporting, presentations and reports


  • Offshore/onshore: First 1-2 months onshore for onboarding
  • Shift pattern: Initially 5 days a week, with weekend working. Offshore rotation mutually agreeable. Will require living on a vessel offshore
  • Work-hours per day: Rota based in line with Taiwan working time directive
  • HSE experience from offshore construction.
  • Heavy lift (CITB / CPCS Crane Appointed Person qualification, or similar qualification, is an advantage but nor a requirement)
  • Familiar with LOLER lifting regulations
  • Foundation installation (jacket or monopile type)
  • Pile installation with hammer
  • Have relevant academic or technical background in QHSE,
  • GWO basic training, or ability to achieve qualifications prior to start date
  • Strong communication skills, with a proactive approach to engagement with contractors and subcontractors offshore
  • Competent with Microsoft IT based systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Speak and write fluent English
  • Ability to speak / understand Mandarin desirable
  • Location of work is Taiwan. Candidates must comply with COVID-19 measures and have the right to work in Taiwan under their own responsibility
