T&I Quality Lead required for a leading Offshore Wind Farm developer, based in Scotland

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Quality Culture through the project.
  • Ensure the highest Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times.
  • Lead the Quality team and wider project to deliver the T&I package to completion.
  • Continue tender of T&I supply scopes from return of RFP, through BAFO and selection of suppliers. Evaluate returned tenders for Quality and technical aspects together with wider team and make recommendation for supplier(s) to award work to.
  • Support with technical queries from suppliers and ensure responses are provided within the deadlines and in line with project and package strategy.
  • Attend supplier premises for pre-qualification audits.
  • Interface with other packages including monopile, IAC, EAC, WTG and Substation.
  • Manage proposed external Quality resources in the package.
  • Work closely with Quality Co Ordinator to produce reports on Non-conformances and other Quality related statistics.
  • Ensure any Non-Conformances raised are actioned and closed out in agreed timeframe.
  • Share knowledge and experience within the T&I package to actively familiarise colleagues with ongoing activities and lessons learned.
  • Ensure risks from own scope are captured and actively managed within the risk management process.
  • Develop Quality Employer Requirements and other contractual documentation prior to contract signature to accurately define the supply scope of work to minimise change required during the contract.
  • Work within project processes and systems for document control, procurement, reporting etc.
  • Support with Quality Audits at supplier's premises and project.
  • Ensure internal Package Quality Plan is updated, reviewed, and communicated to wider project team.
  • Attend monthly Project Quality meetings.
  • Support with proposed Quality initiatives throughout project.
  • Populate and maintain critically register for the package.

Requirements

  • Experience working for a foundation, secondary steel, T & I, EPCI Contractor, Fabricator of Field developer.
  • Knowledge of EPCI projects.
  • In depth knowledge of HSE regulations.
  • Experience of Quality processes including Non-conformances, audits and lessons learned.
  • Experience of working within multi discipline teams.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Experience of managing a supplier to deliver T & I scopes of work.
  • Knowledge of offshore wind projects.
  • Knowledge of contracts and procurement processes.
  • Experience of working within T & I projects as a QM, Quality Lead, Senior Quality inspector or Client Representative.
  • ISO 9001: 2015 Lead Auditor
  • Knowledge of welding, coating and NDE processes, gained through Higher Education in Engineering and/or training and experience gained from apprenticeship, further education and inspection and supervisory management qualifications.
  • Project Management Qualification, Prince, AMP or similar.
  • GWO qualified.
  • Leadership training.
  • Negotiations training.
