WTG Commissioning Client Representative

WTG Commissioning Client Representative required for major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Supervise offshore WTG commissioning activities.
• Ensure that outstanding works and quality issues are detected and reported.
• Supervise mechanical and electrical completion.
• Ensure that work is carried out in compliance with the project HSE rules and local legislation.
• Ensure that the work is organised and done according to the Employer's requirements.
• Ensure that tests are carried out and commissioning work documented according to rules, procedures and templates.
• Ensure that the progress of commissioning is reported in daily progress reports.
• Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties.
• Perform site walk-downs and checks of WTG equipment.
• Review and issue Inspection reports / Walk-down reports / Daily Progress Reports.
• Comment relevant HSE and commissioning documentation (incl. PtW and RAMS).
• Review and comment on Test reports, Checklists and other commissioning related documentation (incl. RAMS and PtW).
• Review and issue Inspection reports / Walk-down reports / Daily Progress Reports.
• Ensure that outstanding work is executed and quality issues are reported.
• Report relevant quality issues, coordinated with Quality department to ensure efficient and thorough Quality monitoring activities are maintained.
• Report HSE issues.
• Day-to-day supervision of contractor's commissioning activities.
• Verify that all relevant tests are carried out and documented correctly.
• Participate in commissioning tests to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor and document performance tests of sub-systems.
• Participate in the preparation of snagging lists, to be monitored and logged in Aconex Field in support of QA team.
• Comply with permit to work and electrical safety rules.
• Ensure necessary safety standards are maintained during the commissioning as per the HSE guidelines.
• Take part in the daily site meetings.
• Lead in verifying that the commissioning is documented according to the Employer's requirements, rules and guidelines.
• Support the WTG commissioning team with transfer of assets to O&M.
• Participate in data collection and analysis of quality performance surveys.
• End of shift handover report.

Requirements

• Strong background in the commissioning of WTGs.
• Strong background in QHSE.
• Recommended 3 years of work experience in wind industry.
• Recommended 1 year of experience in similar position.
• Flexible and works well in teams.
• Ability to communicate proficiently in English.
• Proficient in Excel and the rest of MS Office applications.
