WTG Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Taking charge of the technical negotiation and implementation of the TSA and related WTG contracts.
• Crafting and facilitating employer's requirements.
• Managing the flow of technical communication within projects.
• Participating in supplier meetings within technical forums and providing support to the commercial team in negotiations for WTG supply and service contracts like TSA and SMA.
• Assisting the WTG package during early development and the EPC phase.
• Collaborating on interface design processes between the WTG package and other work packages alongside your team.
• Ensuring timely attainment of relevant permits by actively supporting the permitting package.
• Developing and maintaining procedures and requirements for turbine acceptance walkdowns, including Mechanical, Electrical, and SCADA checklists.
• Contributing to project certification efforts.
• Serving as the technical representative on project(s) by offering recommendations for technical solutions or changes to the project management.
• Coordinating and participating in the review of quality and as-built documentation throughout the project's lifecycle, encompassing manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and final takeover.
• Undertaking ad hoc consultancy tasks as required.
• Providing support to the operational team during the asset handover from EPC.
• Leading technical topics for Technical Due Diligence projects.

Requirements

• Possess relevant technical education (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical or Structural engineering).
• Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience of WTG technology combined with minimum 2 years offshore wind experience.
• Showcase experience in stakeholder management
• A genuine interest in both technical and commercial analytics.
• Strong communication skills, along with proficient use of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent proficiency in written and verbal English (German is nice to have).
• A strong sense of ownership for individual and team project deliverables.
