Based in Boston, MA at the heart of the energy transition on the US East Coast, Kevin will lead our expansion as we grow our teams across the United States and Latin America.
Kevin joins us with almost two decades of HR, executive search and senior-level recruitment experience under his belt, including pioneering leadership roles at respected workforce solutions and consulting firms in the energy and life sciences industries. He has led teams supporting technology, manufacturing and logistics clients – skills that are in particular demand as the US looks to supercharge its solar and offshore wind sectors.
With hubs in Boston, MA and Houston, TX, an established office in Rio de Janeiro and a new location in Miami, FL, Kevin inherits a team perfectly poised to take advantage of the significant projected growth of offshore wind, solar and storage, and green hydrogen across North and South America.
“The opportunity to join a global market leader is very exciting, and I’m looking forward to continuing the impressive growth that Taylor Hopkinson has been enjoying in the Americas,” says Kevin. “Renewables is a sector with almost unlimited growth potential globally and in the US, with the investment that’s being unlocked by the Inflation Reduction Act, we have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build a net zero economy and secure a brighter future for generations to come.
“In the US we’re already among the world leaders in solar and storage, we’re making progress on an offshore wind construction boom, and across both continents we’ve barely started to realise the decarbonisation potential of the green hydrogen sector. Our clients are already looking for specialists in these industries and that demand is only going to increase alongside project deployment between now and 2050. Working with our colleagues at Brunel, we are looking forward to supporting our existing clients, demonstrating our track record to new clients, and connecting renewables specialists to pioneering projects across the Americas.”
“In this new Vice President Americas role, Kevin is building on the great work already carried out by our team and our Brunel colleagues in recent years to increase our presence in North and Latin America,” says Tom Hopkinson, CEO at Taylor Hopkinson. “Our clients are the leading renewable energy developers worldwide, and with the Inflation Reduction Act in the US the market is clearly poised to grow enormously there. We’re also projecting growth in the solar markets in Brazil, Mexico and Chile – we’ve always been there to support our clients as they move into these new territories and this is no different. Wherever there’s a need for renewables specialists, we’re there.”
Kevin’s team is growing, with opportunities for a flexibly-located Head of Onshore Renewables and a Principal Recruitment Consultant in Houston, TX. See all our vacancies below, or connect with our internal talent team to discuss upcoming opportunities.
