Our client is a leading offshore wind developer, we are supporting the search for a Finance Manager to join the dynamic team headquartered in Edinburgh. With a commitment to sustainability and innovation, we are dedicated to harnessing the power of wind to create a brighter, greener future.

As a meticulous and detail-oriented Finance Manager you will oversee all financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role is integral to our mission of driving financial management and control while supporting the growth of the Project Development activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all finance control and treasurer operations.
  • Collaborate with external parties such as accounting firms and shareholder’s financial departments to fulfil various financial requirements.
  • Coordinate budget preparation and provide accurate financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, permit, and licensing requirements.
  • Supervise tax filing and financial statement production by external parties.
  • Perform financial control activities, including budget reconciliation and approval process oversight.
  • Anticipate financial needs and provide strategic guidance on drawdowns.
  • Review and analyze monthly and quarterly financial numbers and disclosures.
  • Coordinate budget and financial forecast preparation, reporting variances to executives.
  • Provide support to external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Collaborate with project management team to establish effective processes and controls.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in an accounting or auditing firm.
  • 5+ years of combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Advanced degree in finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and tools.
  • Experience with financial statements, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close process.
  • Rigorous, autonomous, self-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication within a small team.
  • Experience working in an international environment is a plus.
