This is an exciting role working for a global shipping agency which can be based in either Seoul or Busan. This long-term role will focus on integrated logistics and support offshore wind projects by providing vessel agency, customs clearance, permitting & technical services in South Korea.

Responsibilities:
Business Strategy
- In conjunction with senior management, develop and implement the IL’s strategic plans. This should include business development, operational & financial plans.
- Implement clear communication & reporting protocols that provides transparency on the current business activities, upcoming activities, and allows visibility between all stakeholders.
- Achieve budgeted targets for sales growth, revenue, profit.
- Provide recommendations for investments which should be based on sound financial projections.
- Analyze data on past and present work to make estimates about the best options for future growth.
Business Development
- Work closely with the Group Commercial Team & market reps in Europe to generate proposals and bidding for Group Key Accounts & foreign customers.
- Network and build positive rapport with customers & vendors.
- Watch & react to market/customer trends.
Operations
- Oversee the marine operations team by assigning work, vessels, and any ad-hoc jobs as necessary.
- Ensure vessels movements and updates are reported to customers on a timely basis.
- Improve port operations by applying sound logic and reason to provide solutions to the team, and the principal.
- Support freight forwarding & logistics operations team for cargo handling in conjunction with appropriate managers.
- Support the Technical Services team to build the business and provide guidance and suggestions.
Requirements:
- + 15 years’ experience working in offshore industry / wind sector.
- Experience with heavy lift, chartering, tugs, barges, customs clearance, freight forwarding, project cargo, port agency, port operations, immigration, load-outs, modules, offshore, oil, gas, subsea, T&I ideal.
- Must be culturally astute & be able to work across multiple cultures.
- Must have led a team with at least 4 direct reports.
- Bachelor in business or engineering or related subject.
