Green Hydrogen – (Senior) Sales Manager

As the Green Hydrogen Sales Manager, you will be responsible for proactively acquiring new customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract conclusion. Additionally, you will be involved in field service activities, customer visits, price calculation, quotation preparation, reporting, representation at trade fairs and conferences, customer care, team management and development, and business development abroad.

Our client is providing end to end solutions within Green Hydrogen including mobility, industrial applications and hydrogen delivery. Currently, they are looking for Sales Manager to join their Green Hydrogen Team.

As the Green Hydrogen Sales Manager, you will be responsible for proactively acquiring new customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract conclusion. Additionally, you will be involved in field service activities, customer visits, price calculation, quotation preparation, reporting, representation at trade fairs and conferences, customer care, team management and development, and business development abroad.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively acquire new customer relationships in the sales force through targeted outreach and networking efforts.

  • Supervise the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract conclusion, ensuring favourable terms for both the company and the customer.

  • Conduct customer visits to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions, building strong relationships and trust.

  • Utilise market data and internal metrics to calculate competitive prices and create price lists for our green hydrogen products and services.

  • Prepare detailed and accurate quotations in response to customer inquiries, addressing their specific requirements and preferences.

  • Generate forecasts, analyses, and plans to track sales performance and identify areas for improvement, providing regular updates to senior management.

  • Participate in trade fairs, conferences, and industry events to promote our green hydrogen solutions and establish our presence in the market.

  • Maintain excellent relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.

  • Build and develop a high-performing sales team within the department, providing guidance, support, and training to maximise their potential and productivity
  • Participate in business development activities abroad, identifying new markets, opportunities, and partnerships to expand our global footprint and drive revenue growth.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Experience in trading and negotiations of delivery contracts.
  • Proven track record of success in sales in the hydrogen industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • At least 10 years experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in team management and development, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work culture.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Passion for sustainability and commitment to driving positive environmental impact through innovative energy solutions.
