Lead O&M Supervisor – Offshore Wind

Taylor Hopkinson is working with global offshore wind owner and operator to find a Lead O&M Supervisor to support their WTG Service Team.

As a Lead Supervisor, you will oversee the coordination and organisation of the entire Offshore Wind Turbine (WTG) Service Team. Your role will involve ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, facilitating knowledge transfer between shifts, and representing the WTG Manager in their absence. Key responsibilities include resource planning, work preparation, documentation of service and maintenance work, and continuous process improvement to enhance plant safety and turbine availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the WTG service team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Facilitate status and knowledge transfer between shifts to maintain operational continuity.
  • Act as the WTG Manager’s representative in their absence, assuming responsibility as needed.
  • Plan resources, prepare work, and document service and maintenance activities.
  • Support the development and optimisation of processes to enhance plant safety and overall work organisation.
  • Prioritise maintenance activities within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and contribute to long-term maintenance planning.
  • Assist in integrated campaign and resource planning for owned wind farms.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, processes, policies, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Completed vocational training, preferably as a master craftsman/technician in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, particularly in offshore wind energy.
  • Previous experience in managing employees and leading teams.
  • Willingness and suitability for offshore operations.
  • Strong security awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and under pressure to solve operational and technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a proactive, methodical approach to work.
