Lead SCM Specialist (Offshore wind industry)

*The position can be based in Taipei, Taiwan or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Job Description:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive Supply Chain Management plans, overseeing numerous high-value work packages. This includes managing associated risks/opportunities and planning manpower as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather essential information for efficient and cost-effective engagement with relevant supply lines.
  • Contribute to the formulation of SCM strategy in conjunction with internal stakeholders and disciplines.
  • Lead negotiations with selected suppliers, prioritising timely and advantageous deals for the company.
  • Conduct commercial analyses, standardise bid assessments, and incorporate technical evaluations from various departments such as Engineering, Planning, QHSE, Contracts/Legal, etc.
  • Participate in internal gate review meetings to assess progress and align strategies.
  • Compile bid summaries and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers by scheduling regular meetings to address expectations and align business interests.
  • Initiate and contribute to supplier performance evaluations and contribute to lessons learned reports.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical, commercial, or legal field.
  • Possess 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the energy sector, with a strong focus on Supply Chain Management processes.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English at an advanced level. Proficiency in additional languages is highly advantageous.
  • Showcase proven leadership abilities, including the capacity to inspire, develop, and collaborate effectively with teams and individuals throughout the organisation.
