Planning Associate working on a flagship US offshore wind project. The role is working directly for a global leader in offshore renewable energy development, construction and operations.
This is a full-time, permanent staff position based in Boston (hybrid).
Role
The Planning Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of project plans, ensuring consistency and realism while aligning with assessed risk parameters.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering and maintaining consistent and realistic plans and control structures for the
- project.
- Support the development of activities, logic, resources, and progress for project workstreams.
- Assist in implementing and complying with planning and progress monitoring procedures.
- Contribute to monthly progress updates, forecasts, and trend analyses for assigned elements.
- Aid in assessing and incorporating the impact of approved changes and deviations from project targets.
- Collaborate with workstream leads to understand key schedule sensitivities and drivers.
- Support the development of contract key dates, milestones, and project schedule alignment.
- Contribute to the translation of the project’s risk profile into probabilistic risk models.
- Assist in assessing project targets through internal and external benchmarking.
- Apply fit-for-purpose tools and procedures for offshore wind projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Certification as a Planning Engineer is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of industry experience in planning positions.
- Familiarity with Planning principles and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 is advantageous.
- Exposure to offshore projects is desirable.
- Effective communication and engagement skills.
