Ports Interface Engineer (Offshore Wind Developer)

In the role of Port Interface Engineer, you will join the company’s Port Team. Reporting directly to the Port Package Manager, you will initially be stationed in our Taipei office, before transitioning to Taichung. This position requires frequent travel to multiple locations for port-related activities. Your core responsibilities will involve coordinating daily operations with the TIPC, and overseeing various contractor activities related to the WTG and T&I packages. You will also manage civil works at the port, ensuring the infrastructure meets the contractors’ needs according to schedule, with the support of consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison with TIPC, actively working to refine operational plans within the port.
  • Prepare and ensure timely handover of port land as stipulated in the TSA, coordinating civil engineering efforts with consultant support.
  • Chair regular port interface meetings, tracking follow-up actions across various project packages.
  • Develop and implement the Harbour Security Plan.
  • Oversee daily interface management, facilitating meetings and resolving detailed conflicts among internal and external stakeholders, and documenting resolutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment of commercial, scheduling, and permit-related aspects of port operations.
  • Manage the acquisition and preparation of necessary port working permits.
  • Conduct training for stakeholders on interface processes and tools to ensure adherence to protocols.
  • Work closely with the PMO’s planning and risk teams.
  • Represent the company in meetings with TIPC and other relevant authorities and stakeholders concerning port activities.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to inter-package interfaces to reduce project risks and enhance value.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by the Port Package Manager.

This role is suited for a proactive and detail-oriented engineer with strong communication skills and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectively.
