Ports Package Manager (Offshore Wind Developer)

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Port Package Manager, you will be leading the Port Package in EPCI package of the project. The report manager of this position will be the EPCI Director. You will be primarily based in Taipei and travelling frequently to ports. You will be leading all the foundation marshalling harbour and wind turbine pre-assembly site related communications with TIPC and port related authorites during execution phase of the project. You will be responsible for delivering a suitable land for WTG pre-assembly site which includes managing the land upgrade work. You will be leading a team member to complete the Customs clearance for T&I items.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Port Package in EPCI package and internal cross package communication.
  • Lead the communication towards harbour authorities on behalf of the company.
  • Manage port lease agreements, land upgrade contracts and all the port related contracts.
  • Manage the budget and control the costs of Port package.
  • Coordinate harbour specification/contracting process in cooperation with package managers, EPCI managers, commercial managers and legal advisors.
  • Secure suitable CTV berths for WTG package.
  • Manage the execution of technical studies such as soil-bearing capacities assessments of ports.
  • Manage the land upgrade works for ports.
  • Manage the Customs clearance for T&I items.
  • Manage all harbour visits.
  • Handle the coordination towards internal and external consultants, government organisations and port authorities in Taiwan.
  • Take proactive ownership of the communication with stakeholders.
  • Manage the permits related to ports.
  • Ensure that the quality and HSE requirements are implemented in port related activities.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by EPCI director.

QUALIFICATIONS & KEY SKILLS

  • 5+ years of experience as project manager, commercial manager or similar.
  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor. Good leadership and decision making
  • skills
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Previous experience with communicating with TIPC or government authorities.
  • Have relevant knowledge in energy/offshore wind industry.
  • Culturally aware with efficient performance to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Open minded to reach effective communication and adapted to the changes.
  • Well-organized, , ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal).
