Procurement Manager Offshore Wind JP

  • Support our APAC offshore projects with the drafting of project procurement strategies
  • Responsible for the interfacing of supporting functions and projects to compile and draft all RFI/RFQ documentation for issuance to the market
  • Ability to evaluate RFQ responses on a Total Cost of Ownership basis to ensure selection of the most appropriate suppliers
  • Leading commercial and legal negotiations with support from the inhouse legal team
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers, establishing long-term relationships that contribute to project benefit and cost-efficiency.Build and maintain relationships with key supplier interfaces
  • Adhere to the procurement strategy and execution required in offshore wind projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, and finance to understand project requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly
  • Oversee the procurement process end-to-end, from initial sourcing to delivery and payment, ensuring seamless operations and adherence to project timelines

Your Profile:

  • Advanced communication skills in Japanese, English, both orally and written is a given
  • Proven experience in offshore wind industry and familiarity with Installation Vessel and Offshore Foundation procurement preferable
  • High negotiation skills with a proven history of effectively maintaining vendor relationships and achieving cost-effective procurement outcomes
  • Advanced analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret data, assess market trends, and make informed procurement decisions
  • Proficiency in contract management, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural and cross-functional environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to procurement activities within the offshore wind sector
  • Experience of in the maritime world from either a developer or vessel owner with knowledge of BIMCO, FIDIC and LOGIC contracting forms for the purpose of offshore construction
  • Proven ability to effectively understand commercial risks to minimise impacts to the project
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to support delivery of your package of works
