Project Engineer (Substation)

Substation Project Engineer required for a major transmission system operator based in Belgium

Responsibilities

• Work in close collaboration with the Project Leader and with fellow Project Engineers. The Project Engineer has a technical focus, the Project Leader an organizational focus within a project.
• Actively involved in the entire project process, from feasibility study (conceptual) to project closure. You are a key figure between the design team, the technical experts and the Project Leader.
• Contribute to the technical elaboration of the scope and design of the projects, where you will conduct various preparatory technical studies.
• During the detailed study, you supervise the design team and ensure that the studies are carried out qualitatively and according to the agreed scope.
• During the implementation phase, you will assist the Project Leader with technical support.
• Communicate and report on the progress of the project.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or electromechanics or equivalent through experience and strong interest in engineering
• Technical experience within the high-voltage domain is a plus.
• Perfect knowledge of Dutch or French. Knowledge of the other national language is an important asset.
• Interest in the energy sector
• Strong sense of responsibility, strong organizational talent.
• Communication skills with a smooth assertiveness and who are customer-oriented.
• Good teamwork with a good dose of ingenuity.
