Project Quality Manager required for a major carbon capture storage project based in the Netherlands
Responsibilities
- Ensure that company quality policy are well defined and implemented within the framework of the project.
- Lead, organize and manage a team which is responsible to establish, follow up and constantly control the quality management system of the project.
- Coordinate with other Project disciplines and contractors by informing, supporting, and directing in their project roles, responsibilities and objectives related with quality.
- Ensure that any potential problems are anticipated and escalated/communicated to management in a timely manner and that appropriate contingencies are put in place to manage the same.
- To liaise with corporate departments, authorities and partners on quality related issues as required.
- to assist the project management team (including other managers) in the organization, implementation and audit of quality procedures and processes related to the project.
- To be responsible to organize and coordinate the quality surveillance of contractors, issuing updated evaluations of their performance, to establish KPI for the same.
- To be responsible to review contractor project execution plans, project quality plans, quality control plans, audit schedules and key project management procedures, ensuring that they are logical, process-focussed, and systematic and that they fulfil contract requirements.
Requirements
- Education: Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in relevant or similar positions.
- At least 5 years’ experience on site (construction or operations) with demonstrable experience working in brown field projects under SIMOPS with multi stakeholder involvement.
- Experience in setting up and implementing a quality management system and building and implementing quality culture program.
- Excellent people and team management skills, culturally sensitive with demonstrable team building, organizational and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work transversally to achieve outcomes whilst showing balanced and prudent decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage workload, meet timescales and coordinate multi external and internal stakeholders.
- Team player with ability to work collaboratively across complex project teams and interface between interdisciplinary departments and within an international team.
- Fluency in English (speaking and writing) is required.
