QHSE Manager required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer based in The Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Creating and implementing QHSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Identifying potential risks to health, safety, and the environment within the organisation’s operations and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Providing training and educational programs to employees on safety protocols, environmental protection measures, and quality standards.
- Regularly monitoring and auditing processes, procedures, and facilities to ensure compliance with QHSE regulations and standards.
- Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Developing and implementing emergency response plans to address potential emergencies such as fires, chemical spills, or natural disasters.
- Ensuring that the organization complies with all relevant QHSE regulations and standards, and preparing reports for regulatory agencies as required.
- Leading efforts to continually improve QHSE performance through the identification of opportunities for improvement and the implementation of best practices.
- Assessing the QHSE performance of suppliers and contractors, and ensuring that they meet the organization’s standards and requirements.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, management, regulatory agencies, and community members, to promote a culture of QHSE awareness and responsibility.
- Managing the QHSE budget and allocating resources effectively to support QHSE initiatives and programs.
Requirements
- Min. 5 years experience in the field of health, safety and environment, preferably in the offshore/marine industry.
- Civil experience, quality management experience and experience in a similar field.
- Experience and knowledge of maintaining and operation management systems to the guiding standards, with priority on ISM and/or OHSAS 18001 and ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
- Familiarity with HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA (Lean Six Sigma) and other risk assessment techniques.
- Understanding of international HSE regulations applicable in the offshore/marine industry.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good knowledge & experience with MS Office.
