Taylor Hopkinson are proud to be engaged to lead the search for a Lead Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client, who specialise in Floating Solar PV systems.
Role
- Develop LV/MV electrical concepts aligned with innovative offshore floating PV technology.
- Lead projects from pre-feasibility through to construction start, focusing on MV design and grid connection.
- Responsible for MV design with link to grid connection solution and solar design (cost, quality and delay)
- Ensure grid code compliance and manage technical specifications.
- Facilitate communication with grid operators and certifiers.
- Collaborate with the procurement department for RfQ support and supplier evaluations.
- Conduct quality audits and assist in sourcing external engineering services and integrators.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of HV and MV standards, electrical design experience, HV and MV systems design, LV Switchboards, UPS systems.
- Experience in developing supply strategies.
- Design calculation proficiency, power system study expertise (circuit, load flow, motor starting, arc flash, harmonic analysis) using software, Reporting, tools and Quality improvement.
- Take technical responsibility for electrical design, provide construction, and O&M support on electrical topics.
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in comparable roles.
- Strong motivation, organised, open minded, able to work independently and within a team.
