Structural Engineer required for a major offshore wind developer based in Ireland
Responsibilities
- Originating design work scopes and manage consultants executing structural engineering scopes
- Reviewing, commenting, and approving design drawings and documentation
- Supporting the package to manage the internal design review processes and requirements
- Managing interfaces across various disciplines and packages (geotechnical, WTG, electrical, array cables, etc)
- Supporting with the engagement and interfaces with external suppliers i.e. design consultants / supply contractors
- Ensuring that engineering design consultant output is reviewed and approved by the certifying body
Requirements
- Highly motivated, with pro-active attitude to help ensure adequate interfaces / communication are established and maintained internally and externally, throughout the Project team.
- Have experience in a similar role, with in-depth knowledge in the delivery of offshore structures.
- Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills
- Experience in OSP topside design with respect to layout of access, EC&I equipment and cabling, cranage, HV/LV equipment
- Understanding and experience of design implications for supporting primary and/or secondary steel comprising the Transition Piece (TP) and OSP Topsides components
