GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The WTG procurement manager is responsible for managing the commercial negotiations and contract delivery for the area of responsibility (WTG supply and installation and related auxiliary services), aiming to achieve the best cost-effective conditions, lowering risk and ensuring the delivery of all products and services required for the different phases of the projects on time, on budget and with the relevant performance and delivery guarantees.

The role will support the definition of WTG contracting strategy for the different projects and early developments the JV is involved, understanding the relevant regulation, legal and regional requirements.

He or she will be responsible for ensuring that all contracting and procurement matters are executed in accordance with legislation, ethical practices, applicable company policies and tender requirements.

The candidate must demonstrate the focus and drive dedicated to the development and execution of the commercial and contracting strategy and the value creating for the Company across simultaneous projects in several geographies.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accountable for the full cycle of RFP processes, preparation, implementation and management of processes, playing a pivotal role and involving as required other company areas such as legal, finance, technical or project management. These processes range from the identification of a product or service to the negotiation, assessment and awarding, reporting and obtaining the company approval. This also includes challenging the scopes of work to determine where unnecessary costs can be avoided or more value can be captured
  • Accountability for negotiating the Contract coordinating a multidisciplinary team (technical, legal, planning, insurance, finance, etc.) and defining main terms of such contract (including LDs, warranties, termination conditions, etc.) . Identifies contractual risks and recommend business-oriented mitigations and/or alternative solutions. When required support from the commercial point of view the settlement of contractual disputes, including support in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution procedures and resolving contractual variations and claims with suppliers.
  • Develops and maintains a solid relationship with key suppliers across the supply chain.
  • Analyses trends and forecasts within the market with respect to suppliers, prices, quality, availability or technological change. Understand supplier’s capability to deliver products and services according to requirements.
  • Individual contributor role
  • Follow policies regarding procurement, P2P, etc. and responsible for reporting the different processes as the case may be.
  • Ensure that daily activities are carried out according to current legislation through collaboration with outside counsel and JV legal advice.
  • Make up collaboration and teamwork to the JV corporate areas in order to facilitate inter-related activities

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Degree in Engineering, Commercial or Law.

LANGUAGES

Fluent in English. Ability to read, write and speak other languages will be a plus.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • 2-5 years of experience. Have a cross-disciplinary background based on a bachelor or master’s degree in economics, law or engineering. Negotiation skills and experience with sourcing of goods and services, preferably related to WTG supply and services. Contract management experience will be valued

KNOWLEDGE

  • Deep understanding of cost drivers on contracts, demonstrating transparency and overall value.
  • Knowledge of offshore works contracts and related industry standards will be valued

SKILLS

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Computer literate, experience of MS Office packages
  • Excellent communication skills including report writing and presentation and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Accountable, Organised and able to prioritise
  • Strong sense of values and ethics, as well as confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
