Offshore Wind Client Representative

What does an offshore wind client representative do?
Working directly for the client, often on a contract basis, the Client Representative acts as a key communicator between the client and contractors, monitors progress, provides technical support, and manages risks. They’re responsible for maintaining thorough documentation, conducting inspections, and reporting regularly on project status. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in offshore wind technology with strong project management and communication skills, and must be willing to work in challenging offshore environments for extended periods.
Depending on the different stages of the wind farm project, a Client Rep works on different specialist areas requiring different skills and experience. For example, installation might require a marine ornithologist for wildlife monitoring.
