Role Overview: This is a first-class opportunity to join the company as a Solutions Manager, specialising in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In this role, you will focus on technical design and customised ESS solutions, supporting the successful delivery of energy storage projects across Europe. You will also contribute to solar PV, wind, and other renewable energy projects within the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver high-quality technical advisory services for pre-sales activities.
- Provide technical input from initial assessment to technical and economic feasibility of projects.
- Review conceptual and detailed designs, suggesting improvements for BESS projects.
- Act as the interface between engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil, and control systems).
- Oversee technical integration of energy storage with other electrical or generating plants.
- Prepare and manage technical specifications, tenders, negotiations, and system selection.
- Conduct due diligence on BESS projects and support customers and lenders throughout the financial close process.
- Provide technical liaison with legal and financial advisors.
- Ensure compliance with European regulations and international standards (IEC/IEEE).
- Knowledge of utility network connection studies and PCS dynamic performance approval is a strong advantage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in energy storage, power systems, or renewable energy engineering.
- Proven track record of BESS project design, technical advisory, and project management.
