Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to take overall responsibility for site-based execution of a utility-scale onshore wind project in the Philippines. Reporting to the Project Director, this role will lead construction activities while coordinating closely with balance-of-plant, commercial, and HSE teams.
This position is open to both strong local candidates and highly experienced international professionals with a proven track record delivering onshore wind projects. Prior experience working with Filipino teams, contractors, or local companies will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Planning & Execution

Lead day-to-day site construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Develop and manage construction schedules, resource plans, and sequencing for WTG and associated site activities.

Coordinate interfaces between WTG installation, civil works, electrical works, and other project packages.
Technical Leadership

Provide on-site technical leadership for construction, ensuring compliance with engineering designs, installation methodologies, and quality standards.

Oversee installation activities and contractor performance, resolving technical and execution challenges as they arise.

Manage construction documentation and support structured handover to commissioning and operations teams.

Identify, assess, and mitigate construction and technical risks to protect project outcomes.
Stakeholder & Contractor Management

Lead site meetings and coordination forums, providing clear direction and progress reporting to internal teams and contractors.

Work closely with commercial and contract management teams to support variations, claims, and change management.

Build strong working relationships with contractors, suppliers, and local stakeholders, fostering a collaborative site culture.
Health, Safety & Environmental Leadership

Ensure full compliance with local legislation, project HSE requirements, and company standards across all site activities.

Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example in all aspects of site management.
Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering; professional engineering registration preferred.

Minimum 10 years’ experience in wind energy construction, with significant exposure to installation and commissioning on onshore wind projects.

Proven track record managing multidisciplinary construction teams and contractors on complex wind projects.

Strong understanding of wind turbine supply chains, construction logistics, and site execution challenges.

Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements in construction environments.

Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capability in site-based roles.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience working in Southeast Asia, or specifically with Filipino teams or contractors, is highly desirable.

Willingness to be site-based and relocate as required.
