Country Manager – Offshore Wind (South Korea)

A leading global offshore wind engineering consultancy is seeking a Country Manager to lead and grow its South Korea business.

This organization is internationally recognized for delivering specialist engineering advisory services for major offshore wind developments worldwide. With an established presence and team already operating in Korea, they are now appointing an experienced Native Korean speaker to take over country leadership and further strengthen their market position.

This is a strategic leadership role focused on relationships, market presence, and team leadership rather than project billing targets.

The Opportunity

You will act as the senior representative in Korea, responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the existing Korea team
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current developer, utility, and EPC clients
  • Expanding the company’s network with emerging and developed Korean players
  • Acting as the local face of the business in industry forums and market discussions
  • Providing technical credibility and leadership to the engineering team
  • Supporting regional leadership with market intelligence and strategic positioning

This role does not require you to be a billable project consultant, although the option to contribute technically remains open depending on your background and interest.

What They Are Looking For

This is not a commercial/sales hire. The company is specifically seeking an engineer from offshore wind who can speak the language of the team and the market.

Suitable backgrounds include:

  • WTG engineering
  • Offshore wind foundations (FOU)
  • Subsea cables
  • Offshore wind T&I
  • Structural engineering
  • Geotechnical engineering
  • Or closely related offshore wind disciplines

You must bring:

  • A strong existing network in the Korean offshore wind market
  • Experience working with developers, utilities, EPCs, or engineering consultancies
  • Leadership capability to manage and mentor an established team
  • The credibility to represent a high-end international engineering consultancy

Korean language and cultural understanding is essential due to the relationship-driven nature of the role.

If you are a senior offshore wind engineer in Korea with a strong market network and the desire to step into a strategic leadership role, this is a rare opportunity to move beyond project delivery and into market leadership.
